A new post office store front opened two weeks ago inside the local Sack-N-Save. "You can do everything there you can do at the regular post office, there are no p.o. boxes and you can't pick up certified letter, but we can do everything else." Gary Shelton, owner of the Sack-N-Save off I-35 in Denton said. Shelton said the post office has been busy since it opened and he expects traffic will increase as soon as school starts. Its location, Shelton said, only two blocks away from the University of North Texas, is more convenient for the students who live there. "The downtown post office is inconvenient to get to, especially if you don't live in that area," Shelton said. The officer in charge of the location is Tracy Cullum. The post office hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2p.m. on Saturday and closed on Sunday. For more information, please call 940-565-0550. E-mail entry: |
