New Dairy Queen opens in The Colony

A new Dairy Queen restaurant opened at 6360 North Josey Lane, Ste. 102 in The Colony. The new 3,000 square-foot restaurant has added 45 new jobs, contributing to The Colony’s employment growth, a press release said.

The new restaurant also will contribute to the state’s restaurant sales, which according to the National Restaurant Association, are projected to increase by 5 percent this year.

Cary Albert, who plans to open five additional DQ restaurants in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2013, said in a news statement he was excited about the new location.

“This new restaurant is sure to become a location where families and friends can gather to share smiles and stories over a great meal and treats,” he said.

Albert is also the operator of the Denton’s second Schlotzsky’s Deli at 416 W. University Drive.

Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.
