Flu clinic in Flower Mound today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Caring for Children Foundation, Care Van will host a free flu clinic from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at Forrestwood Middle School, 2810 Morris Road in Flower Mound, a press release said.

The clinic is for children between the ages of 6 months to 18 years of age.

A child is eligible for this free vaccine if he/she is an American Indian, Alaskan Native, has Medicaid, has no insurance or has insurance that does not cover vaccine.

The Caring for Children Foundation of Texas’ Care Van program is a nonprofit dedicated to providing access to immunizations for uninsured and medically underserved Texas children and promoting health, nutrition and exercise education, as well as other health-related services. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Inc. has been the statewide sponsor for the Caring for Children Foundation for more than 14 years, covering all administrative costs for the foundation, a press release said.
