The following is a job description provided by the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas
Position: Marketing Intern / marketing and communications
Responsibilities:
-Work with Marketing Manager to develop and write press releases
-Assist in basic copy editing, photography and graphic design
-Edit and monitor changes on Girl Scout’s website: www.gsnetx.org
-Assist in developing monthly email blasts
-Assist in developing biographies for Gold Award Recipients
-Facilitate Girl Scouts’ exposure with community print outlets
-Help monitor current council’s social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)
-Create and develop an easy resource for all PR clippings
-Video editing experience is a plus
-Assist in various other office duties; filing, database management etc.
Qualifications:
Strong interest in Marketing/Communications with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must have good communication and writing skills and have some basic training in various graphic programs.
15-20 hours a week are preferred and hours and days are flexible.
This is an unpaid internship.
